Faculty must be Indiana licensed instructors or have an occupational specialist licensure and a mastery of Microsoft office skills . They will have excellent interpersonalskills and a proven success record teaching adult learners. Additional technical certifications are preferred as well as the ability to pass the MOS certification tests.
This course prepares individuals to perform duties of an administrative assistant, office manager,secretary,accounting and other related fields where Microsoft Office applications are used. The Microsoft Office certification provides individuals with the foundational skills needed to to succeed in environments that require the use of computers and electronic communications. Indidviduals will become proficient in the most commonly used software programs used in office related occupations and other fields requiring technical skills Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
High school diploma or equivalent, or regular attendance in ABE classes with math and reading scores at a 9th grade level on the Test of Adult Basic Education. Fluent keyboarding and computer skills.
One week before the start of class.
