Program instructors hold valid certifications in Home Health Aide and/or CNA (Certified Nurse Aide), with experience in instructional delivery. Kanna Shannon ,is an active certified Active nurse Aide of 14 years and holds a 2 year degree. Co-instructors Lisa Corden Christine Joner also hold HHA credentials with training experience.
All instructors meet or exceed the minimum requirements for providing non-pla HHA training, including clinical demonstration and job readinss instruction. Documentation is available upon request.
This program prepares individuals employment as Home Health Aides in private residences, assisted living settings, and long-term care facilities.Students gains hand on and online instruction in client care, personal hygine and infection control, emergency response and communcation with patients and families.
The curricuum includes real-world lab practice and final skill evaluations to ensure job readiness.Upon successful completion students will recieve. Upon successful completion and be prepared to work in a variety of home care roles in Indiana.
Applicants must be at least 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. While a high scholl student diploma or GED is not required, applicants should demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Priority is given to WorkOne/WIOA-eligible individuals such as unemployed, underemployed, reentry, or snap recipients.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. New cohorts begin monthly. Students are encouraged to apply at least one week before the intended start date to ensure orientation and Workone voucher processing.
