Program faculty are NCCER certified instructors through our local community college partner; Ivy Tech Community College-Muncie campus.
The Muncie YouthBuild program contains five components: Education, Construction, Leadership Development, Mentorship, and Transitional Services. Additionally there are five standard goals for participants: Placement in Employment or Education 2 Quarters after exit, Attainment of Degree or Certificate, Measureable Skills Gains, Placement in Employment or Education 4 Quarters after exit, Median Earnings of $4,000 per Quarter.
YouthBuild participants must be between the ages of 16 and 24. Most participants left high school without a diploma and are either a member of a low-income family, a foster care youth, a court-involved youth, a youth with a disability, a child of an incarcerated parent, or a migrant youth. There are limited exceptions to these eligibility requirements.
Deadlines vary based on cohort graduation and fiscal calendar timing.
