Every instructor is a current CDL holder with a minimum of 2 year's CDL experience per the FMCSA guidelines.
Our program consists of 2 phases: phase one is the online theory portion and phase 2 is the hands-on skills portion. Both phases are required to satisfy the Entry Level Driver Training course set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Class B CDL students are expected to do an oral pretrip, 3 backing skills, and demonstrate safe operation of a Class B vehicle on the road. Intructors work with students to ensure understanding and skills are acquired.
Students must obtain a CDL physical and then a permit for the class of license they wish to train for from Indiana's BMV. We also encourage every student to obtain a tanker endorsement by taking the written test at the BMV. This is not a requirement, but a suggestion.Students must also have access to the type of vehicle representing the class of license they wish to obtain. They must also have access to the internet to complete the online theory portion of the course.
Applications are accepted year round.
