Must be at minimum a Licensed Practical Nurse with Indiana State certification for teaching in the CNA program. Must be CPR certified as well.
This program is based on the specific lesson plans outlined by the Indiana State Department of Health. We teach the diadactics and hands on portion of caring for the Elderly. This includes bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, grooming, handwashing, Infection control, Isolation techniques, professionalism, communication, accountablility and positioning.
There are no pre-requisites for this training.
Course is offered once per month and the deadline coincides with the completion of Online classroom work. The targeted deadline is one week before the Lab class starts for hands on training.
