Qualifications of Instructors:

The Program Director is the only employee currently and she holds a Masters Degree in Nursing. Once enrollment increases more employees will be hired and the minimum credentials held will be Registered Nurses (RNs)

Program Description:

This three week classroom based course is designed to enhance the students knowledge on the basic fundamentals of nursing medication administration. Students will be taught how to properly implement resident care procedures, administer medications in long term care facilities under nursing supervision, in accordance to the State guidelines. A certificate of completion will be awarded after successful course completion however, testing fees are NOT included in the course cost.

Prerequisites Description:

¿      Applicants must be 18 years of age.
¿      Must have a High school Diploma or GED
¿      Have a current Indiana CNA (Proof on ISDH Registry)
¿      Proof of 1,000 hours of CNA training
¿      Applicants must have a personal interview withschool personnel.
¿      Applicants must possess a valid drivers license or State ID.
¿      Applicants must pass a pre-screening drug test(provided by ALR EHS) or a drug test if unable to pass the drug screening(provided by Wipperman clinic)
¿      Applicants must pass a Background check/screening

¿      Applicants must have a current TB test &Health clearance signed by a Healthcare provider
