Program faculty bring relevant professional experience in community health, healthcare, human services, workforce development, and related fields. Our instructors are INCHWA-Certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) who combine knowledge of CHW core competencies with real-world experience in community engagement, healthcare navigation, advocacy, care coordination, health education, and connecting individuals to essential health and social-service resources. This practical experience allows instructors to connect the curriculum to the work CHWs are expected to perform in the field.

Participants should have basic computer and internet skills, along with reliable access to a computer or device with internet service. Because the program combines live virtual instruction with online learning through Microsoft Teams and Teachable, participants are expected to attend scheduled instructor-led sessions, complete assigned readings and online modules, participate in quizzes and other learning activities, and complete the capstone project and certification exam process.

DaMar offers rolling enrollment for upcoming CHW training cohorts. Applications are accepted until the cohort is filled or prior to the scheduled program start date. We encourage interested participants to apply early to allow time for enrollment, orientation, and preparation for the training program.
