Cardinal Tech’s Cardiac Sonography Program prepares students for entry-level employment as cardiac sonographers/echocardiographers. Students receive instruction in cardiac anatomy and physiology, ultrasound physics and instrumentation, echocardiographic imaging techniques, cardiovascular pathology, patient care, image acquisition, and interpretation of cardiac ultrasound findings. The program combines online didactic education, live instructor-led sessions, hands-on scanning laboratory experiences, and supervised clinical training in healthcare settings. Students develop the technical and clinical skills needed to perform diagnostic echocardiographic examinations, work effectively as part of a cardiovascular care team, and pursue professional cardiovascular credentialing upon completion of the program.
