Qualifications of Instructors:

All hands-on instruction is taught by Ashley Heenan, RDH, a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of clinical dental experience. Minimum faculty credentials for this program require an active, unencumbered dental license or credential relevant to the expanded functions being taught (e.g., Registered Dental Hygienist or licensed Dentist) and demonstrated instructional experience.

Program Description:

Dental AssistEd's Indiana Coronal Polishing, Fluoride and Sealant Placement Certification is a one-day, 11-hour hybrid program for currently practicing dental assistants seeking to expand their scope of practice under the Indiana Dental Practice Act. The course combines online didactic modules with an in-person hands-on clinical session at Dental AssistEd's Chicago training facility, covering coronal polishing techniques, fluoride application, and sealant placement. Graduates are authorized to perform these expanded preventive care procedures in Indiana dental offices.

Prerequisites Description:
