Faculty also possess documented healthcare experience and instructional expertise.
The Medical Assistant Program is a comprehensive instructor-led healthcare training program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in physician offices, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, specialty practices, community health centers, and other healthcare settings.
The curriculum combines live instructor-led instruction, competency-based skills training, interactive simulations, online learning modules, case studies, professional development, and certification preparation. Students develop knowledge and practical skills in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, patient care, administrative procedures, communication, healthcare documentation, professionalism, health coaching, and clinical competencies.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level Medical Assistant positions and nationally recognized healthcare credentialing while developing the workplace skills necessary for success in today's healthcare industry.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer literacy, and the ability to meet clinical participation requirements, including any applicable healthcare documentation required by participating clinical sites. No previous healthcare experience is required.
