Minimum instructor credentials include at least a two-year degree from a recognized institution or national accrediting body in the area they teach, or at least two years of practical experience in the area they teach with professional licensure or certification.
Area 30 Adult Education provides training for NCCER Core Curriculum. This curriculum is a prerequisite to all other Level 1 craft programs. This introductory course provides the basic skills needed to continue for certification in any NCCER craft. The program consists of lecture instruction, distance education, observation, and hands-on training. This course includes components in adult basic education, skills training, and career readiness. Students will also obtain their OSHA -10 card in this course.
Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be willing to work toward earning a diploma while enrolled. Students must be over the age of 18 and have a minimum of NRS Level 3 TABE scores in Reading and Math.
