Our minimum credentials require someone that has worked in a professional capacity in the software development field. We expect them to have the following: 

1. Technical Proficiency:

   • Hands-on Experience: Instructors should have practical experience in programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to the course content.

   • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve coding challenges and debug code effectively.

   • Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends and evolving technologies.

   • Contribute: Active participation in online coding communities or local tech events.

2. Effective Communication Skills:

   • Clarity: Instructors must convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

   • Listening Skills: Actively listen to students’ questions and provide thoughtful answers.

   • Understanding Student Struggles: Recognize that learning programming can be intimidating. Create a supportive environment.

   • Open Door Policy: Encourage questions and foster a collaborative atmosphere

3. Ethical Considerations:

   • Honesty: Instructors should provide accurate information and avoid misleading students.

Our soft skills instructors are expected to have the same effective communication skills and ethical considerations as above.

While no grade level instruction or job experience is required, students are expected to have the following:

2. Positive Attitude: A positive mindset is crucial. Coding can be challenging, but a can-do attitude encourages persistence and growth.

4. Adaptability: Coding involves continuous learning and adapting to new technologies. Being open to different approaches and ideas is valuable.

5. Effective Communication Skills: Clear communication helps in understanding concepts and seeking help when needed. Students must be willing to initiate conversations when something isn’t working for them.

6. Self-Discipline and Time Management: Online courses require initiative and grit. Students should manage their time effectively and stay committed to the course. Check-ins will help with accountability.
