Description

The minimum credentials held by program faculty is a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with at least 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, and successful experience in supervision of a regulated early childhood learning center, pre-school, or family child care program.

Our program focuses on preparing individuals to plan, operate, and manage child care facilities and programs that meet the developmental needs and interests of children. All while ensuring they are able to provide a safe and healthy environment. The program includes instruction in the following areas: Planning a safe and healthy learning environment Advancing children’s physical and intellectual development Supporting children’s social and emotional development Building productive relationships with families Managing an effective program operation Maintaining a commitment to professionalism Observing and recording children’s behavior Understanding the principles of child development and learning
