The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program offers 105 hours of instruction, covering fundamental knowledge, principles, and procedures of basic nursing care. As of September 1, 2025, the state reduced the minimum required training hours to 75. However, training providers may still choose to offer the full 105 hours. At FHTC, we elected to maintain the 105-hour curriculum because we believe in delivering a high-quality education that emphasizes the clinical experience — the portion where students engage in hands-on care, which we view as vital for competent training.

This course is a state-approved course in Indiana and combines thorough classroom instruction with rich, practical clinical training. Upon successful course completion and passing the state certification exam, graduates are prepared for entry-level roles as nursing assistants in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, travel assignments, home health, and assisted living facilities.
